Munchy Play Named Finalist in the Progressive Preschool Awards 2021

It’s one of the most prestigious awards in the toy and preschool industry, and today the Progressive Preschool Awards 2021 has announced Munchy Play as a finalist.

The small business has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Kids’ Lifestyle Range’ category, for its newly launched Thomas & Friends™ Train Track Plate Collection.

Now in its seventh year, the Progressive Preschool Awards 2021 recognise and reward excellence in product, retailing and marketing across the preschool sector. Whittled down from hundreds of entries, there are just eight finalists in each of the ten categories.

Sophia Procter, CEO and Founder of Munchy Play, said:

“We are thrilled to be shortlisted for Best Kids’ Lifestyle Range in the Progressive Preschool Awards 2021, which is always a highlight in the calendar. Our new Thomas & Friends™ Collection has been a huge hit with families, and we’re delighted to be recognised for the love and thought we put into creating it.”

Entries were shortlisted by a stellar judging panel, which includes high-profile buyers from; John Lewis, The Entertainer, Bentalls, Toymaster and specialist independent buyers from across the country.

Jo Pilcher, publication and event manager for Progressive Preschool, said: “We really have been blown away with the quality and volume of entries we had this year for the PPS Awards. With all the difficulties the industry has faced over the last 18 months with the pandemic, the various lockdowns and now the ongoing freight issues, we cannot wait to come together on 11th November to celebrate everything the industry has achieved and have a huge ‘preschool’ party!”

The event return to The Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on November 11 to crown the winners in each category. The event is sponsored by leading names including the British Toy & Hobby Association, Baby Products Association, and Toymaster.
