Munchy Play founder Sophia Procter, has been recognised by the Global Women Inventors & Innovators Network (GlobalWIIN), at their annual awards ceremony.
Procter was recognised for helping to solve mealtime struggles, by designing the world’s first children’s plate with a built-in track. The Munchy Play founder was one of 16 winners who received an ‘Honorary Special Recognition Award 2020’ in the ‘Inventions, Innovations, Research & Development’ category.
All awardees are judged on their professional merit and determination to succeed, including their commitment, tenacity and positive influence in helping to contribute to the future and quality of life, impacting millions of people for the better.
GlobalWIIN is an independent non-profit dedicated to assisting and advancing women with bright inventions and innovations, so they can achieve success in the global marketplace.

We spent three years in product and development, before eventually launching amidst a global pandemic. The prestigious awards include a roll call of industry professionals in its judging panel, including Mark Sheahan, the Inventor in Residence at the British Library, and Professor Ruth Soetendorp of the Intellectual Property Awareness Network.
