How to enter Platinum Pudding Competition
Still with us? Good, because it’s time for the creative bit…. Coming up with your winning pudding.
To be in with a chance with winning, it’s not just about a great-tasting dessert, but it’s also about an interesting story that helps to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee years. For inspiration, why not look back at some of the winners of previous similar events, as well as successful entries for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee medal 2022 design.
Here’s four things to think about for your successful entry in the Platinum Pudding Competition.
- 1. Original idea
It must be an original recipe to enter the Platinum Pudding Competition.
- 2.Tastes Delicious!
The judges will be tasting puddings that reach the final live round. You need to make sure that not only your ingredients are 100% accurate, but they create a visually wowing and delightfully tasting treat. It has to be fit for a Queen after all!
- 3. Easy to make
This isn’t the time for complicated fancy-shmansy! The winning recipe is one that needs to be easy for the general public to make at home, whilst looking impressive enough for the Queen. This means using easy-to-source ingredients and equipment that home bakers are likely to have to hand.
- 4. A memorable story
It’s not just about the ingredients, but what they mean. Perhaps your cake creation was inspired by the Monarch herself, or maybe you dessert pays homage to a recipe passed down through the generations. Maybe it’s a design you came up with in your family using your favourite Munchy Play plate!
