We are thrilled and excited to announce that we have been selected as finalists in - The Junior Design Awards 2020!

For those unfamiliar with the event, this is a prestigious ceremony that celebrates design-led products within the children’s industry. It covers everything from children’s fashion, through to girls and boys toys, nursery goods and kids’ dinner sets.

Although it’s a British based event, hosted by Junior magazine, many international brands take part too, helping to put it on a global stage. The event is renowned for curating the best content from the children's industry, and bringing it their discerning readers.

Sophia Procter, CEO and founder of Munchy Play said: “It has been a long and challenging journey to bring our product to market, so to be recognised as one of the finalists today is a great tribute to all the hard work behind the scenes. From the early days of creating the design, through to protecting its copyright and intellectual property, to working with British manufacturers – we have been on quite a journey to get here!

“However, we did so with one brave ambition – to make life easier for parents. Our plates for toddlers are the first-ever to feature a built-in track. Helping to solve mealtime struggles, they invite kids to the table and help to keep them there, with meals always at the focus. Since we launched we’ve been overwhelmed with messages from parents, saying how our kids’ plates are a “genius” idea and have changed their lives.”

Innovative Kids’ Plates and Bowls

From thousands of entries received, Munchy Play plates have been shortlisted in the prestigious 'Best Children’s Tableware Design' for our newly launched collection. One of only five finalists, we are thrilled to be given such recognition and love by the esteemed judging panel. Launched only in June 2020, it is such an honour to be on the shortlist for our kids dinner set.

With more categories than ever before, it is a real tribute to be on the final line up.

Hosted by Junior Magazine, the publication explains: "Shortlisting is no ‘short’ job and a process that is never taken lightly, it sees the Junior editorial team read, review and deliberate over literally hundreds and hundreds of entries. We understand winning a Junior Design Awards #JDA20 is a unique opportunity to grab a luxury award that is – and, still continues to be – the most esteemed accolade in the family lifestyle award arena, recognised by brands, clients and consumers alike."

In case you didn’t realise, we are thrilled to be amongst so many exciting brands, and to be recognised for our efforts. It has taken us three years to bring our children’s plates to market. So, thank you to everyone for getting us here. To be shortlisted as a finalist is no mean feat and one we are exceptionally proud of.
